Meet The Tribe: Antti

The next member of the team we want to introduce to you is Antti, our Sound Designer! We're very excited to be working with Antti as he also completed a SEP Year at the University Of Portsmouth!

What Is Your Experience As A Sound Designer?

I am currently studying Music and Sound Technology in the University of Portsmouth and most of my experience revolves around the coursework and various events such as Game Jam. I do lots of collaboration with the games course students on their projects, because I have found that it is the best way to find interesting work. For example, last year I did sound design for a final year project where the client was Rare - the project went well and it won the Grads in Games 2020 industry collaboration award.

I have also done sound design for short animations but my passion definitely lies within game audio as it is more interactive.

What's Your Favourite Game?

Hard to choose a favourite game when there are so many good games out there. Witcher 3 is definitely up there as one of the best. Also, World of Warcraft will always have a place in my heart due to the friends I have made over the decade playing the game.

Tell Us A Fun Fact About Yourself.

I was a drummer in a crossover thrash metal band called Meatgrinder back in Finland. It was a fairly successful band but unfortunately it fell apart during our mandatory military service because we had no way to rehearse let alone do any gigs. Turns out you cannot manage a band while you are stuck in an arctic forest eating pea soup (or at least we could not).
