Cultural Advisors
Dyak Studios is looking to work with a group of individuals to help shape the world and story of Rise Of The Jemhaji. We want candidates which agree with our studio values: development, diversity & excellence.
Applications from BAME, LGBTQ+ and Female indviduals are welcomed and encouraged.

What We Want From You:

You could submit the following:
  • Cultural advice so we can get the portrayal of NPCs, world, story and enemies right
  • ​Interesting folklore tales from Malaysia, Oceania, North America and/or Africa which you would like to see in the game
  • Interesting side-quest/main-quest ideas which relate to the culture and/or folklore of Malaysia, Oceania, North America and/or Africa
  • Anything else you can think of!

Notes About This Role:

  • Voluntary, unpaid role
  • If your contribution is used, you will be notified by email and we will advertise your contribution on our social media channels
  • If your contribution is used, your name will be featured in the game credits under Advisory Group
  • If we like your ideas, there is the opportunity to take on a larger role within the project and get paid on commission for your contributions
While we understand this type of thing may not be for everyone, we hope that you can understand that we need to get the cultural portrayals in Rise Of The Jemhaji right. We can research what we need, however we believe that the story, world and quests will be better represented with the help of community involvement.
